Bioremediation = Use of living organisms (mainly microbes, sometimes plants) to remove or neutralize pollutants from a contaminated site.
Types:
• Natural attenuation / Intrinsic bioremediation
• Biostimulation (adding nutrients, O₂, etc.)
• Bioaugmentation (adding specific microbes)
• Phytoremediation (plants)
