The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), officially known as the Karnataka Undergraduate Common Entrance Test (UGCET), is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) in an offline, pen-and-paper (OMR-based) mode. It is a perfect gateway for students aspiring to pursue various undergraduate professional courses such as Engineering and Technology (B.E./B.Tech), Architecture (B.Arch - requires JEE Main Paper 2 or NATA scores as well), Pharmacy (B.Pharm, D.Pharm), Agriculture and Farm Sciences (B.Sc. Agri, B.F.Sc, etc.), Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc. & A.H.), Naturopathy and Yoga, and other professional courses in government, university, private aided, and private unaided institutions across Karnataka, India.

The exam covers four main subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. Candidates select subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for Engineering; and Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for Pharmacy.

The KCET syllabus is based on the 1st and 2nd PUC (Pre-University Course) curriculum prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka, aligning with Class 11 and 12 syllabi.
