Alkylation of Benzene is also called Friedel Craft Alkylation This reaction involves the introduction of an alkyl group in the benzene ring by reacting benzene ring with alkyl halide in the presence of anhydrous Lewis acid such as AlX3, FeX3 or BX3 as catalyst.
