From first law of thermodynamics-
ΔE = q + W
We know that in adiabatic process-
q = 0
So, W = ΔE
or, W = nCvΔT
or, W = nCv(T2 − T1) -----Equation-1
We know that Cp − Cv = R
Dividing by Cv on both sides in the above equation, we get-
