Meyer Schuster Rearrangement

Acid-catalyzed rearrangement of secondary and tertiary α-acetylenic alcohols (propargyl alcohols) to α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds, aldehydes result when the acetylenic group is terminal and ketones when it is internal. This rearrangement is known as Meyer Schuster Rearrangement.
