Is Sin x an acceptable wave function ?
ORWave function Ψ = Sin x is defined in the range of variables x = 0 to x = π
a. is it an acceptable wave function ?
b. is it normalized ? If not what is normalization factor?
a. Ψ = Sin x is an acceptable wave function because it is a single valued, continuous and finite what so ever be the value of x.
b. Ψ = Sin x is not a normalized wave function.
It is not equal to one which is essential condition for normalization.
