Rate Constant for Zero Order Reaction

Rate Constant for Zero Order Reaction

A reaction in which the concentration of the reactants do not vary with time and hence the rate remains constant throughout is said to be zero order reaction.
Rate Constant for Zero Order Reaction
This is the Zero order kinetics or rate constant for Zero order reaction. In zero order reaction, the rate constant is equal to the rate of reaction at all concentration.

Half life period (t1/2) for Zero Order Reaction:

The time during which the initial concentration(a) of reactant is reduced to half (a/2).
Rate constant for zero order reaction is-
K = x/t
or, t = x/K
when, t = t1/2 then x = a/2
Now putting the value of t and x in the rate constant equation we get-
t1/2 = a/2k -------- eq.4
